General Medical Merate S.p.A. — active in the design, production, sale and servicing of electromedical devices and related imaging and artificial intelligence software — has completed the acquisition from the Re family of 100% of Digitec S.r.l., a company specialized in the design, development and customization of software and hardware for the acquisition, processing, display and management of radiographic images. The transaction also involved the Re family entering the GMM Group as a minority shareholder, giving rise to a broader project with a long-term industrial outlook. The integration of Digitec into the GMM Group enables the creation of an even more complete, solid and innovative player in the European medical imaging and biomedical sector, thanks to the combination of hardware, imaging and AI capabilities.
General Medical Merate was assisted by LCA Studio Legale, with a team composed of Francesco Buoso, Gaia Angelini and Beatrice Bestetti for corporate matters, Andrea Carreri, Anastasia Pallagrosi and Ludovica Sibilla for golden power aspects, Giulio Vecchi, Marco Losito and Giada Berti for intellectual property matters, Ranieri Romani, Zuleika Palma and Carola Corini for labor law aspects, Lorenzo Ugolini and Luciana De Angelis for customs matters and Leonardo De Vecchi together with associate Francesco D’Amore for administrative law aspects.
