On Thursday January 19, 2017, at the Piccolo Teatro Grassi of Milan, there will be the closing conference of the first year of activity of the Digital Innovation in Cultural Activities and Heritage Observatory of the Politecnico of Milan, a research center born with the aim of outlining the technologies now used in the Italian artistic and cultural heritage world, proposing a path to follow for a digital transformation that would create value in the cultural ecosystem and facilitating the interaction among the main players of the sector.
Giangiacomo Rocco di Torrepadula, member of the Advisory Board of the Observatory, will give his own contribute to the discussion with a video in which he will deal with the issue of cultural institutions’ mission and value of digital innovation, today slowed down not only by all the organizational and accounting constraints, but also by a widespread digital-competence lack.
