The deal has been completed that saw Anemos Private Investments, an investment holding company dedicated to private equity and part of the Samhita group, acquire a majority stake in Terre di Puglia, a leading player in the Apulia region specialising in the production and marketing of high-quality taralli, with the goal of creating Italy’s leading company in the savoury snacks sector. Founder and entrepreneur Nicola Visaggio will retain a significant stake in the company and will continue to lead it through its growth and internationalisation path.
Amundi took part in the deal through the Amundi AgrItaly III Fund, a flexible capital fund dedicated to excellence in the Italian food sector, providing part of the financing for the transaction and also taking a minority equity stake. Amundi was advised on the deal by Marco Bigliardi, Managing Director, and Simone Schipani, Associate.
Amundi was assisted by LCA Studio Legale, with a team comprising Roberto de Bonis and Sara Consoli on the investment side, and Davide Valli, Caterina Gatto and Francesca Rucco on the financing side.
Anemos was also assisted by Giliberti Triscornia e Associati as legal advisor on the deal, with a team led by partner Matteo Acerbi and Ilaria Di Pasquale, while Intesa Sanpaolo acted as agent bank for the lending pool, supported by Bird&Bird on the financing agreement, with a team coordinated by partner Michele Arruzzolo.
