The First LCA Pre-Moot took place on 5 March 2024 in Milan with the participation of the teams of four Italian universities: Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Università Bocconi and Università degli Studi di Pavia.
We had the pleasure of hosting talented mooties who had the opportunity to test their skills and practice their arguments before expert arbitrators in what turned out to be outstanding performances. They could also receive valuable feedback and form lasting connections with fellow participants.
The event is part of the firm’s intense effort in the Vis Moot, which includes mentoring and coaching the team of the Università di Pavia since 2013, as well as supporting other Pre-Moot and Vis-Moot related events. As stated by our managing partner Giovanni Lega in his welcome speech, «we think that the Vis-Moot experience strongly contributes to the advancement of the students in their education and professional careers and allows them to prove themselves in a highly qualified international environment».
We want to thank all the mooties and all colleagues and friends who attended the LCA Pre-Moot as arbitrators, both LCA and other firms professionals, as well as in-house counsels with a rich dispute resolution and arbitration background.
A huge appreciation to the LCA Vis-Moot Team – Claudia Bosco, Miriam Loro Piana, Giacomo Cioccarelli and Elena Gianrossi, guided and supported by partner Gian Paolo Coppola – for their effort and dedication to the organization of the event, which was also a lot of fun.
Congratulations to Bocconi University for winning the first place, closely followed by Università di Pavia in the second place.
