These two new appointments further bolster LCA’s position in international arbitration. Gian Paolo Coppola has recently been appointed as a member of the ICC Italy Commission on Arbitration and ADR and as an international delegate to the ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
The ICC Italy Commission on Arbitration and ADR brings together the expertise of professionals, in-house counsels, and academics to advance awareness and understanding of the practical and legal issues related to arbitration and various ADR methods (including mediation, Expert Determination, and Dispute Boards). The Commission examines the legal, procedural, and practical aspects of arbitration and ADR to facilitate access to justice and promote efficient and cost-effective dispute resolution.
The ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR assembles experts appointed by national committees and representatives of ICC tribunals, with over 1,400 members from more than 100 countries, including lawyers, in-house counsels, arbitrators, mediators, law professors, and experts in various fields of dispute resolution. The Commission addresses key practical issues related to international arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution.
Gian Paolo’s work focuses on litigation and ADR for clients across various industries, ranging from traditional sectors such as industrial plants and infrastructure construction to modern fields like software, fintech, and new media. He is also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and specialises in international litigation and arbitration.
