Ema Health, an Italian company focused on healthcare system innovation and creator of Rosso, the first digital platform dedicated to Italy’s blood transfusion supply chain, has completed a €3 million seed funding round.

The transaction was led by 360 Capital through its 360 Digitaly vehicle, alongside CDP Venture Capital SGR through the Digital Transition Fund – PNRR, a financial instrument funded by the NextGenerationEU program and aimed at supporting the digital transformation of Italian companies operating in strategic sectors, including healthcare.

The round also saw participation from Angelini Investments, as well as several prominent figures from Italy’s financial and entrepreneurial communities.

Founded in 2023 by Chiara Schettino and Filippo Toni, Rosso is an integrated digital ecosystem powered by artificial intelligence that supports donors throughout every stage of the donation journey and helps healthcare facilities with the planning and advanced management of non-clinical activities. The funds raised will be used to expand the platform nationwide, with the goal of strengthening the donation system and accelerating the digitalization of collection centers.

LCA Studio Legale advised Ema Health and its founding shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction through its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital team, consisting of senior associate Carlo Filippo Bertero and associate Giovanni Binaghi.

Giovanni Lega, Founding Partner of LCA, commented “We believed in and invested in the Rosso project from its very first steps, when it was still a visionary bet. This significant €3 million round confirms the soundness of our initial intuition and demonstrates how LCA can combine legal expertise with strategic vision to help innovative companies grow and generate a real social impact for the country.”

360 Capital was advised by K&L Gates, with a team consisting of counsel Veronica Muratori and associate Lorenzo Fidanza.
