    Gianluca deals with IP (i.e., trademarks, domain names and other distinctive signs, designs and models, patents and know-how, copyright and unfair competition) and misleading and comparative advertising litigation before ordinary courts, the Italian Competition Authority and the Italian Advertising Standards Authority.

    He assists clients in the drafting and negotiating of licence and assignment agreements, technology transfer contracts, publication contracts, testimonial and influencer marketing agreements, software-related agreements, terms and conditions referring to e-commerce platform, mobile app and social networks.

    Gianluca has also extensive experience in consultancy and litigation regarding data protection matters, and he assists clients in complex cybersecurity projects. Together with the other members of the IT Group, he is currently involved in assisting Italian and multinational companies in the compliance process to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (n. 679/2016). He is also Expert of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan for the disputes related to domain names “.it”.

    For his knowledge in the IP and IT areas, Gianluca has been recognized with important national and international awards: e.g., Emerging Lawyer of the year 2014, Privacy Lawyer of the year 2017, Best practice IT Lawyer 2018, Advertising Lawyer of the year 2019, Media Lawyer of the year 2019 on occasion of the IP&TMT Legalcommunity Awards, Italian Trademark Star Managing IP since 2020, Ranked Lawyer in Chambers Europe and Global since 2015 for Intellectual Property, Client Choice Award 2018 for IP/Copyright Italy, Recommended Lawyer in Legal500 2018, 2019 and 2020, and IP Expert Who’sWhoLegal 2019.

    Gianluca has been a member of the Law Firm since 2014. Before he had been associated with primary Italian and foreign law firms, such as Bonelli Erede Pappalardo of Milan, Amarjit & Advocates of New Dehli, the Intellectual Property Group of Matheson, Ormsby, Prentice of Dublin, and – as partner – MCM Avvocati of Milan.

    Gianluca cooperates with the Chair of Industrial Property Law of the University of Milan- Bicocca – Law School and Intellectual Property Law (patent law) of the Degree Course in Industrial Biotechnologies – Science Dept. He is author of several publications and teaches trademark and design protection, advertising and unfair competition law in both master and specialization courses.
    He is a member of several associations, including INTA (International Trademark Association, contributing to the Enforcement Committee), INDICAM (Anti-counterfeiting Association in the Fashion and Design field, contributing as member of the Board of Directors for the 2018-2020 period), LES (Licensing Executive Society), AIPPI (International Association for the protection of Intellectual Protection) and IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).
