    Gabriella is highly experienced in Italian and European competition law matters, particularly in relation to restrictive agreements, supply and distribution agreements, abuse of dominant position, joint ventures and mergers. She also has extensive experience in the creation and implementation of tailor-made antitrust compliance programmes. Gabriella regularly assists clients before the Italian Antitrust Authority and the European Commission, administrative and civil national courts, and EU Courts.

    Over the years, Gabriella has consolidated significant experience in a variety of industries, including luxury goods, maritime transport and shipping, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, large-scale retail trade, car fuels and jet fuel.

    Professional experience

    Gabriella joined the Firm in September 2023.

    From 1999 to 2009 she worked with Allen & Overy LLP in the International Antitrust Group, first in the Milan office, then in the Rome office. Subsequently, she set up her own firm in Rome, providing legal advice in the field of Italian and European competition law and co-operating with numerous law firms, as an antitrust consultant on a non-exclusive basis.

    In 2015, together with Monica Dal Prà, Flora Santaniello and Adele Sodano, she founded ECR Legal, a firm specializing in EU law, competition law and market regulation.

    Associations, seminars, media and other activities

    Gabriella lectured at the Pontifical Urbaniana University of Rome, for the course “I rapporti tra Internet e il Diritto Internazionale”, on the topic of online sources of European and international law. She also lectured at the University of Verona, for the Master’s Degree in Advanced International Legal Studies, on the topic “I rapporti tra diritto internazionale pattizio e diritto interno: il problema del coordinamento tra le convenzioni internazionali in vigore per l’Italia e le nostre norme di diritto internazionale privato” and contributed to the research project “International and community law aspects in matters of bio-technologies” for the Law Studies Department at the University of Verona.

    She is author of the work “La protezione delle invenzioni biotecnologiche nella normativa comunitaria e internazionale. Problemi di coordinamento e rapporti tra disciplina brevettuale e regime varietale”, in “Bioetica e Biotecnologie nel diritto internazionale e comunitario (Questioni generali e tutela della proprietà intellettuale)”, on the topic of biotechnologies in European and international law, edited by Nerina Boschiero, Turin, 2006 and co-author of the article “Patrimoni dedicati e azioni correlate: “cellule” fuori controllo?”, on the topic of the antitrust law aspects inherent to the introduction of allocated assets and tracking shares in the Italian civil code, in Le Società, No. 10/2003.
