It is the year in which the Firm chose to redesign its governance model, entrusting leadership to a collegial Management Committee &#8211; a distributed leadership built on shared responsibility, born from founder Giovanni Lega&#8217;s decision to step aside in favour of a more plural, future-oriented governance structure.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">New spaces for listening and dialogue between generations, technological innovation integrated into working processes, the renewal for the third consecutive time of gender equality certification, and 10 hours each of volunteering through the LCA Sociale project: 2025 is a year in which sustainability translated into concrete choices.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In the letter that opens the Report, founder Giovanni Lega clearly sets out what sustainability means for the Firm:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8220;At LCA we continue to invest in a model that combines professional quality, organisational responsibility and the ability to drive change, building a firm capable of evolving, enduring over time and passing on the value it has created, while nurturing skills, diversity and new energy.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">His words sum up a journey in which economic growth, people development and innovation coexist with the drive to generate a positive impact on the legal profession and on society. With 332 people, offices in Milan, Rome and Genoa, LCA continues to build a model in which sustainability is not a separate chapter, but the very way the Firm chooses to operate, grow and create value.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ENVIRONMENT | LCA\u2019s actions to reduce environmental impact<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Although it operates in a sector with a moderate environmental impact, LCA has invested for years in a responsible environmental management model. In 2025, the Firm consolidated its process for measuring Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions across its <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">three Italian offices in Milan, Genoa and Rome<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> &#8211; covering energy consumption, staff mobility, remote working, purchased goods and services, and IT equipment use &#8211; for a total of <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">1,778.50 tCO\u2082e.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> This represents a key step towards the future adoption of a system compliant with the ISO 14064-1 standard.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Alongside this, work continued on improving the energy efficiency of its offices, with high-efficiency HVAC systems, LED lighting, high thermal-performance windows and automated consumption controls. Migrating servers to the cloud and consolidating IT infrastructure have helped reduce the Firm&#8217;s overall energy footprint.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This everyday environmental culture is also reflected in plastic-free policies, structured waste separation, recycled materials and new circular economy initiatives such as <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">RE-CIG<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, along with the introduction of <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">digital business cards<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which give an alternative to the need for paper. <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The frutteto LCA<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, with its 260 trees planted in Trecella on the outskirts of Milan, reached a cumulative CO\u2082 absorption of around 2.47 tonnes in 2025, confirming its role in combining environmental offsetting with enhancing the local area.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SOCIAL | People and community at the heart of LCA\u2019s sustainability<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">LCA regards its people as its main differentiating factor. 2025 saw further growth for the Firm &#8211; which, as at 31 December, comprised 332 people across professional and support staff &#8211; with a rising female presence among new joiners (32 women out of 55 new hires) and a strong concentration in the under-30 age group.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Among the most significant initiatives is the evolution of the parental leave policy which now guarantees full pay during maternity leave, flexibility on returning to work, and 10 working days of paternity leave &#8211; together with the extension of remote-working policies and the strengthening of internal welfare, including the provision of women&#8217;s health products at all three offices, with 5% of supplies earmarked for tackling period poverty.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Development of the training ecosystem continued through <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">LCA Academy<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which in 2025 ran 13 programmes comprising 92 sessions in total, covering legal training, soft skills, leadership and bar exam preparation. In addition, the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Diversity, Inclusion &amp; Belonging<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> team led the Firm, among other initiatives, through the three-yearly renewal of its <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">UNI PdR 125:2022<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> gender equality certification, confirming LCA as a benchmark in the legal sector.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2025 was also the year of LCA Sociale, the corporate volunteering programme, became firmly established \u2014 involving over 200 people in support of organisations working on inclusion, health, educational support and assistance to the most vulnerable communities. Overall, the Firm allocated more than \u20ac175,000 to social, cultural and sporting projects, around 0.9% of pre-tax profit, in line with the average for large European companies adopting the international CECP\/B4SI standards.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">GOVERNANCE | Ethics, innovation and transparency<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Governance forms the foundation of LCA&#8217;s sustainability model. In 2025, the Firm took a significant step by adopting a <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">collegial, distributed leadership model<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, with the new Management Committee and the creation of the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Young Committee<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which brings the voice of under-35s to the decision-making table. This is complemented by new listening tools, from the Internal Feedback Collection Policy to the DIB Circle, and by the consolidation of an ethical governance system founded on the Model 231 compliance framework, the Code of Ethics and a structured whistleblowing system.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Alongside this, LCA continues to stand out for its approach to innovation, with its <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Prompt Lawyers <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211;\u00a0 more than 20 professionals who practise reverse mentoring between digital skills and professional experience &#8211; and the progressive integration of artificial intelligence into working processes, culminating in early 2026 with the start of a collaboration with Harvey AI for more than 200 people at the Firm.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The supply chain is also evolving towards a more sustainable model, with work under way to adopt a <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Supplier Code of Conduct<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and to introduce ESG criteria in partner selection.
