Reform of penalties for non-compliance with Covid-19 contagion containment measures: the penalty is now reduced to administrative sanctions (with few exceptions)

With the Law Decree No. 19 of 25th March 2020 , the Government has radically amended the system of penalties relating to the non-compliance with Covid-19 contagion containment measures, deciding to set aside the criminal option initially adopted to resort to administrative penalties.

In the new Alert the Criminal Law Team analyzes these new measures, justified by the need of the Government to intervene more seriously, quickly and efficiently also from a systematic point of view.
